Our office is eager to help you get answers to questions and access to the resources you need from state agencies. Here are a few of the most common questions we get. If you have a question not listed here, please send us an email at DelSHudson@house.virginia.gov. You can also call or text our office at (434) 202-6842. We’re happy to help.
I need help with a state agency or program. For example…
- I’m having trouble with my unemployment insurance payments.
- I need a DMV appointment or I’m having trouble with the DMV website.
- I have a question about Medicaid, the Virginia Retirement System, or the Department of Taxation.
We can help you schedule appointments and troubleshoot problems. Please call, text, or send us an email.
I have a question or feedback to share about a bill before the General Assembly.
The 2021 General Assembly session ended on March 1. The next regular session begins on January 12, 2022. In between, our office is working with constituents to develop new legislative proposals for 2022.
You can track bills online through the state’s Legislative Information System. Richmond Sunlight is a privately-run site that many people also find useful. The Virginia Public Access Project provides a comprehensive daily email with Virginia government news. Please don’t hesitate to write or call with any other questions.
I have a question about a bill before Congress or a federal program like Social Security or the US Postal Service.
Our representatives in the US House and Senate are best suited to answer those questions. You can contact Congressman Bob Good and Senators Tim Kaine and Mark Warner. Please don’t hesitate to write if you’re not sure whether your question is a state or federal issue. We’re happy to help you find your way to whomever can help.
I’d like to nominate someone for a resolution from the House of Delegates.
Delegate Hudson can file resolutions to celebrate and honor members of our community. If you know someone who deserves recognition, please fill out this form.
Due to the volume of requests, we can’t guarantee that each nomination will receive a resolution. We’ll do our best to honor every nominee.
